Nimona (2023)

J really enjoyed this. To me it felt a little muted somehow, possibly the holiday cottage TV? Not as melancholy as the comic - a younger target audience - but it retains some of that feeling. A good kids film, and never feels formulaic. Worth saying too how it’s wonderful that children’s films can just have gay central characters in a kind of fairly mundane way, its just what it is. I expect this film will be a lifeline to many.
