Long Shot: The Dice Game

2nd play of this, I taught it to 5 other players (I was pretty ropey on the rules having not really expected to get it to the table and don't feel I did a good job though we got there in the end). I remain ambivalent about this game, I like the interaction and the betting and pretty much everything about it but it just seems to run too long for what it is. The box says 25min but our, admitedly bumpy, play was closer to an hour. If this did really play in 15/25 mins it could be great but I don't see that happening. Ellie won quite comfortably ($100+) with a group of us clustered around the ($60-70) range. Richard performed an elaborate last minute combo using the special ability of a horse he owned, filling in pretty much the whole of the concessions grid in a single swoop and netting a ton of free actions but it wasn't enough without the bets placed in the right places.
