I taught the game to 2 new players, Trudy and Rose (reasonably well given I hadn't checked the rules before hand, didn't need to look anything up). After a few years it remains delightfully slippery but I think I'm getting a bit more of a handle on things. Each new play reveals new facets, I think it's easy to underestimate the psychological aspect of the game and most negative reactions I've seen appear to come from people who think the expected values are too easy to calculate which I recon belies a misunderstanding of how the game works in practice.
